Nursing Research

Innovative Research

The Center for Nursing Research provides a supportive research environment for faculty and students to advance scientific knowledge, engage in research internationally and develop and recognize nurse researchers. Faculty work closely with students conducting innovative research which focuses on improving outcomes for patients of all ages, gender identities, states of mental health, nations, and religions.

Nursing Students in Class

Challenging Curriculum

Nursing is an exciting profession with many career pathways and possibilities. At Kent State, we offer a wide-range of nursing programs – from the associate and bachelor’s degrees to the DNP and Ph.D. The challenging curriculum, latest technology in simulation, and experienced faculty prepare students to reach their full potential as expert clinicians, nurse scientists, and healthcare leaders.

Nurse giving care to community

Community Driven

Faculty, staff and students work to improve healthcare at home and in communities far beyond our campuses. Study abroad programs enable our students to travel to Switzerland, Northern Ireland and Italy to explore health concerns, policies, and challenges of global importance. This cultural immersion gives our students a global perspective and helps them become culturally sensitive to better care for an increasingly diverse patient population.
