Apply for Financial Aid
Students enrolling for the summer or fall semester should apply as soon as possible after Jan 1.
The scholarship deadline for Kent Campus is January 15. Check Kent State and external scholarship opportunities on the Student Financial Aid Web site.
Apply for Housing
Kent State University requires that all students reside on campus and participate in a board plan for the first two years of enrollment. Follow the headline to apply online, where you can also explore the living and theme communities.
Get Your FLASHcard
The FLASHcard is your campus ID, meal ticket and a debit card.You will receive it at Destination Kent State. There is no need to have any other ID on campus.

Student Success Programs offers a three-stage orientation program for all first-year students called Destination Kent.
Purchase Your Parking Permit
Find parking information and, when available, order online. spring semester students can typically purchase beginning in November. Fall semester students can typically purchase beginning in June.
Submit Immunization Documentation
All students born after Jan 1, 1957, must show proof of two MMRs (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) in a lifetime or one in the last six years. Students from the following areas are required to have a tuberculosis screening test (TB/PPD/Mantoux) in the last 12 months: Africa, Eastern Europe, Russia, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean Islands and Asia. There is an immunization requirement form that all students must complete and return to the University Health Center. Please go online to review the immunization policy and to download the Proof of Immunization Form.

If you are under the age of 21 and live within 50 miles of the Kent Campus and plan to commute from your parent's home or meet one of the other exemption criteria, be sure to check out our commuter resources. Please remember you must submit a Commuter Exemption Application for an exemption to the on-campus residency requirement.
