Facts about the Parking Services Office, permits, and tickets

All residence hall students may apply for a parking permit on campus.  Freshman residence hall students who have earned less than 30 hours may only apply for a stadium permit.

PARTA bus service is used to transport students to campus every 8-12 minutes. On-site security is provided 24 hours/day, 7 days/week at the stadium location.

Parking Permit Fees:

Visitors (Daily): $ 2.00

Faculty/Staff (Annual): $132.00 per year ($11.00 per month)

Student Permits:
 
On-Campus Resident gated "S" lot:  $230.00 per academic year, $120.00 per semester (not offered in summer)

On-Campus ("R". "C", or "S" Permits): $180.00 per academic year, $95.00 per semester

C-Ice Arena, C-MWF, C-Science, or C-Rec permits: $155.00 per academic Year, $80.00 per semester (not offered in summer)

Summit East and Allerton Sports Complex permits: $135.00 per year or $70.00 per semester (not offered in summer). (Daytime parking in Summit East lot or Allerton Sports Complex, evening and weekend parking on campus)

Evening and Weekend permits: $30.00 per semester or $55.00 per year (not offered in summer)

Stadium permits: $70.00 per semester or $135.00 per year  (not offered in summer)

Summer ("R" or "C & S" Permits): $40.00 for the summer semester. Note: The summer "C & S" permits are valid in any lot designated "C" or "S" during the summer semester (effective Summer 2009)


Parking Facts:

The Parking Services Division is a self-supported auxiliary service of Kent State University. It does not receive financial support from mandatory student fees, the University, or the State of Ohio. Parking Services' operating budget is derived from income generated through student and employee permit sales, visitor parking fees, parking violation fines, and special event parking. Income is used for the operation of Parking Services, the maintenance and improvement of existing parking areas, and the construction of additional parking areas.
