Break and Intersession Parking Rules

Parking regulations are enforced during all academic break periods* and intersession. In order to avoid being ticketed, you may choose one of the following parking options:

  • Purchase and display a parking permit. During breaks and intersession students, faculty, and staff may park in non-restricted lots with any valid permit.
  • Park at a parking meter. Rates are posted on each meter.
  • Park at the Student Center visitor's lot. The charge is $6/day maximum per visit. There is no charge after 6 p.m. on Fridays and on weekends.
  • Purchase a “One Day Only” permit for $2 from Parking Services.
  • Temporary 4-hour parking permits can be purchased from permit dispensers located within the Ice Arena and Student Recreation and Wellness center lots.

As a reminder, Construction vehicles with lot specific parking permits must park in their assigned parking area.

*Break periods include: winter break, spring break, the 4-week period between spring commencement and the first day of summer I classes (Intersession), and the week between the end of summer 3 and the first day of fall classes.
