Teaching Assistantships

Outstanding undergraduates who have completed most of their major-related requirements may be eligible to serve as teaching assistants (TAs) for professors teaching especially large sections of the department's LER offerings (American Politics, World Politics, and Political Institutions).  Undergraduate TAs receive three hours of upper-division credit (which does not count towards the major requirement of twenty-one upper-division hours) under POL 40996 --Individual Investigation.  Students' duties include holding office hours, conducting pre-exam review sessions, preparing exam questions, and assisting in the grading of writing assignments.
