Congratulations to Lisa Hager on top paper award at 2012 OAEPS Annual Meeting.

Congratulations to Lisa Hager (PhD Student) for winning the award for the top graduate student paper at the 2012 OAEPS Annual Meeting at Ohio Northern University, OH. Her paper is titled Committee Requests, Assignments, and the Female Representative: Evidence from the 80th-103rd Congresses. Her presentation focused on committee requests and how that impacts the legislative effort of female Representatives serving at any point during the 80th-103rd Congresses. The Ohio Association for Economists and Political Scientists (OAEPS) Annual Meeting was held on Oct. 12-13, 2012, on the campus of Ohio Northern University in Ada, OH.

She is currently preparing a proposal for a prestigious workshop associated with the APSA’s Law and Courts section, and sponsored by the NSF – “The Workshop on the Normative Implications of Empirical Research on Law and Courts” to be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at George Washington University in Washington, DC.
