Every summer, Kent State University's professional theatre Porthouse Theatre hosts multi-week theatre intensive workshops for high school and incoming or current college students in the form of Porthouse Academy.

Participation in Porthouse Theatre's High School Academy is perfect for high school students who are interested in developing their musical theatre skills or expanding their interest in theatre design and technology.  Porthouse Theatre's College Academy is ideal for incoming freshmen who wish to jump start their college careers or strengthen their musical theatre skills.

 

 

2019 PORTHOUSE COLLEGE ACADEMY

Porthouse Theatre's College Academy is for high school graduates who are incoming freshmen enrolled in Kent State University's BFA Musical Theatre program or are current School of Theatre and Dance students who wish to apply or re-apply for admission into the BFA Musical Theatre program.

2019 PORTHOUSE THEATRE HIGH SCHOOL Shadow Program

The Porthouse Theatre High School Shadow Program allows high school students to visit Porthouse Theatre and shadow in the area of their interest.

The Porthouse Theatre International Academy is a summer theatre experience for international students looking to learn more about the theatre arts and spend time on an American college campus.
