Mary Kutchin has significant experience in hospital administration and nursing leadership. She has experience in both line management and staff management positions. She also has experience in project management and consultations for healthcare organizations with an expertise in accreditation standards. She has developed and managed programs for case management and disease management. Her clinical experience is in critical care, cardiac care and surgical care areas.
I have had almost 26 years of nursing experience working in a variety of settings. I have been a nurse in the hospital setting for 11 years, worked in the community setting for 5 years, and taught nursing students for 10 years. My nursing specialties include community health nursing, public health, health promotion and education, nursing education, and primary prevention. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Education and Promotion at Kent State University College of Education, Health and Human Services.
I have worked as a Critical Care Nurse for 8 years in New York then 10 years in ICU at Akron City Hospital (Summa Health System). I was also the Staff Development Coordinator in Critical Care for 4 years also at Akron City Hospital. I am an active member of the Akron Children's Hospital Women’s Board.
