Aimee Budnik
Ms. Budnik holds a Master of Science Degree in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Oh and is currently a PhD student in Prevention Science at Kent State University’s College of Public Health. Ms. Budnik is a registered dietitian with over 12 years of experience working as a public health practitioner. Most recently, Ms. Budnik was the Local Coordinator of the Women, Infant and Children’s Program in Danbury, CT and later served as the Director of Welfare and Social Services in the same city. Other experiences include Nutrition Manager of the Hunger Prevention Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP) in New York City for the Food Bank for NYC and Chief Clinical Dietitian for several long term care facilities in NY. Currently, in her PhD program, she has been working on a project that evaluates is evaluating a homeless intervention housing project as well as projects related to health department consolidations. She previously worked on a community-based juvenile justice evaluation. Her areas of interest include barriers to healthcare access, food security and public health infrastructure. Ms. Budnik has presented at several national conferences and has taught at the College of Public Health. Ms. Budnik received the Prevention Science Student of the Year Award in 2012 and Distinguished Teaching Award in 2011-2012.
