Academic Program Assessment 2015 - 2016

You are here

Each year, all academic major programs must submit a programmatic assessment report. The report typically includes an overview of the academic program’s mission, key learning outcomes and targets, metrics to assess progress toward learning outcomes and targets, and a description of how the assessment data are used by the program for improvement (e.g., teaching, delivery of course).

The Office of the Provost is asking academic units to complete their annual programmatic assessment reports using the Microsoft Word template that can be found here. Regional College academic programs will also use this assessment template. The template is a streamlined approach for collecting academic assessment data for the current 2015-2016 academic year. A Help Guide to assist in completing the template (both template versions) is also available.

All completed and signed assessment reports are to be submitted to the Office of the Provost by September 12, 2016. Completed reports (using the template previously referenced) should be submitted via email to Kathy Spicer at kspicer@kent.edu. The Office of Accreditation, Assessment and Learning, within the Office of the Provost, is available to consult with programs to assist with the completion of assessment reports.
