Laura Dzurec is former dean of the College of Nursing and professor of Nursing at Kent State University.
She previously served as dean and professor at the University of Connecticut School of Nursing and associate dean and associate professor at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Nursing.
She received her Ph.D. in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in 1986, a Master of Science in nursing from The Ohio State University in 1975 and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Connecticut in 1974.
Dzurec has held numerous faculty positions, focusing on the areas of psychiatric and mental health nursing, family nursing, pediatric nursing, adult health nursing and health policy. She currently serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Nursing Education.
