Susan Stocker has been serving as the dean of the Ashtabula campus of Kent State University since 2001. She also currently holds the rank of associate professor at Kent State University. Since finishing high school, Stocker had attended college either part or full-time until 2001, when she completed a doctorate from the Kent State University College of Education, Health and Human Services.
During her career as a registered nurse and educator, Stocker has served in a number of leadership capacities. She served as the president of the Ohio Nurses Association from 1997-2001 and was recently appointed to the Ashtabula County Medical Center Board of Trustees.
Stocker is actively engaged in the community. She sits on the executive committee of the Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County and is a member of the Ashtabula County Workforce Policy Committee.
She was instrumental in establishing a partnership with Ashtabula County Commissioners and the state of Ohio to help build a training facility addition to the new Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva State Park.
