Kent State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean and Chief Administrative Officer at the Tuscarawas campus. Reporting to the Associate Provost, the Dean and Chief Administrative Officer assumes responsibility and provides overall leadership and direction for all aspects of campus administration and operation.
Kent State Tuscarawas is part of Kent State University's eight-campus system, the 27th largest regional campus system in the nation and the third largest university in Ohio. Located on 170 acres in New Philadelphia, Kent State Tuscarawas boasts a vibrant and friendly atmosphere with an enrollment of more than 2,400 students served through credit programming and another 3,200 individuals served through non-credit courses offered by the Office of Business and Community Services. Students can complete associate and bachelor's degrees, as well as certificate programs. Kent State University at Tuscarawas offers courses leading toward 10 bachelor's degrees.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in a relevant field; eight to nine years of progressively responsible experience in program development, marketing, budget, personnel; experience as a faculty member; academic record sufficient to qualify for faculty appointment at senior rank. The successful candidate will be someone who can develop new initiatives to enhance Kent State University at Tuscarawas' goals of excellence in educating and developing undergraduate students for productive, creative, and reflective lives of achievement, leadership, and service in a diverse and interconnected world.
