Dr. Shanhu Lee is a Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at College of Public Health. Dr. Lee joined Kent State in 2005 and served faculty in Chemistry (2005-2011) and College of Public Health (from 2011 to present). Prior to KSU, she was a senior scientist at University of Denver. Dr. Lee's current research focuses on atmospheric aerosol - nucleation and growth through laboratory kinetics studies and field observations. Laboratory studies are primarily on multicomponent nucleation of organic compounds. Her other research areas also include measurements of ammonia and amines in the atmosphere.
Dr. Lee's research has been supported by NSF and NOAA and she has received $3M federal research grants since 2005.
