Flu Pandemic

A pandemic is a global disease outbreak.

Planning and Response Medical professionals worldwide have been studying the infection patterns of the avian flu and are watchful for human-to-human transmission. At Kent State University, University Health Services has developed the Pandemic Event Plan with input from local health and medical officials. At the first sign of flu pandemic, the State of Ohio will disseminate information to the public, and the University Health Services will begin implementing contingency plans for mass treatment vaccination.
