Institutional Average Fringe Benefit Rates

Full-time and part-time employees:

14.0%: Retirement benefit

00.5%: Workers compensation

01.5%: Medicare

 

Full-time employees:

Health care insurance: flat rate of $8,250, beginning 1/1/07. For proposal budgets, amount budgeted is based on time budgeted. Ex.: For 10% time budgeted, $825 would be budgeted for health insurance.

 

Other rates used for grants/contracts:

Fringe benefits budgeted for summer salary of 9-month faculty: 16% (rounded)

Fringe benefits budgeted for Part-Time employees - 16% (rounded) including student employees in some situations.

Fringe benefits for other students - 1% (rounded). Graduate student also receive flat allocation toward health insurance ($866 for AY06/07), along with tuition, applicable fees, etc. Check the Bursar’s website for updated tuition and fee information.
