Allegheny Forest Backpacking

Journey to The Allegheny National Forest in PA for a two-night backpacking trip exploring beautiful forest and stream views. Fee includes food transportation and equipment. No experience is needed. Our experienced staff will take care of all of the details but keep in mind you will be walking six miles a day with a 35-pound pack on your back. You will walk away from the trip feeling accomplished as well as having gained the knowledge and skills to plan your own backpacking trip in the future.

Backpacking Dolly Sods

Journey to Dolly Sods in VA for a three-night backpacking trip exploring beautiful forest views. No experience is needed. Our experienced staff will take care of all of the details, although you will need to be in good physical shape and be prepared to walk up to 10 miles per day with a 35-pound backpack. You will walk away from the trip feeling accomplished as well as having gained the knowledge and skills to plan your own backpacking trip in the future. Fee includes food, transportation and equipment.

Full Moon Float

Join us as we travel to Mogadore Reservoir for a unique, evening boating experience under the full moon! We will provide all equipment including canoes, kayaks and lanterns. You can ride with us or meet us out at the reservoir.

Hocking Hills Hiking and Camping

This is the perfect trip for beginners to enjoy beautiful waterfalls, overlooks and hopefully some wildlife! Fee includes camping equipment, guides, camp food and transportation.

Lake Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

This trip will be held at LaDue Reservoir which is approximately 40 minutes north of campus. Participants will learn the basics of SUP from our American Camp Association (ACA) certified instructors and then go on a tour of the reservoir to put their new skills to use! We may even teach some yoga moves if you are feeling adventurous! No prior experience is needed.

LAZY River Tubing

Want to cool off or need to escape onto the water for an afternoon? Enjoy a trip down the local Cuyahoga River right here in Kent on inflatable tubes! The river is nice and lazy allowing you to relax for a couple of hours on the water.

Outdoor Archery

This trip is perfect for you if you have always wanted to learn how to use a bow. You will learn the basics of safety technique and target practice during this trip. You will have a blast putting your newly achieved archery skills to use at the Berlin Wildlife Area's outdoor practice 3-D course. Fee includes transportation, equipment and instruction.

Outdoor Rock Climbing

Join our experienced staff for an epic, outdoor rock climbing experience to the famous Red River Gorge in KY. This trip is designed for beginner and intermediate climbers alike, as we will set a variety of routes for participants. Participants that pass our lead classes at the rock wall will have the opportunity to lead routes under staff supervision! Fee includes food, camping for two nights, transportation and equipment.

OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING- Whipp's Ledge (Beginner)

Enjoy an afternoon of outdoor climbing at Whipp's Ledges. This trip is great for all experience levels from beginner to experienced. The fee includes transportation, equipment and instruction.

OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING- Logtown (Intermediate)

Have you been wanting to go rock climbing outside but don't know anyone with gear? Then Logtown in Lisbon, OH is the perfect trip for you! We have a lot of gear experienced trip leaders and a great location for beginners and experienced climbers alike. Fee includes transportation, equipment and instruction. Participants that pass the lead climbing class will be able to lead routes with the supervision of staff.

Overnight Kayaking and Camping- Allegheny River, PA

We will be headed to the Allegheny River in PA on a 34-mile overnight paddle and camping trip on the riverside. During our five hours of paddling each day, we will have the chance to view the beautiful scenery and hopefully see some wildlife! No prior experience is needed as our guides will teach you how to paddle and camp. Fee includes transportation, equipment and food.

Stand UP Paddleboarding- Cuyahoga River

This trip will be held locally on the Cuyahoga River and will begin at Tannery Park. Before paddling, our experienced instructors will give a brief lesson on how to stand up paddleboard (SUP) on the river and then you will have the unique opportunity to SUP on a slow moving current. No previous experience is needed. Fee includes equipment guides and transportation.

Waterfall Hike- Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Cuyahoga Valley National Park is one of the top 10 most visited National Parks in the United States. We will explore a couple of waterfalls in the park as well as the Virginia Kendall Cliff's ledge trail. The hikes are easy and should take a total of four hours. Lunch transportation and guides included.

White Water Rafting Trip

Join us for a day of adventure in the Ohiopyle recreation area in PA. Sunday morning we will leave campus bright and early and go white water rafting on the famous Youghiogheny River for some fun class III rapids. Fee includes transportation, equipment and rafting. No prior experience is needed.

Winter Break Ski and Snowboard Trip- Winterpark, CO

Join us for a week of wintry fun as we hit the slopes on Jan. 9 - 14. We will be staying in condos that have a fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer and cable TV. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, hot tub, heated parking garage, fitness center and private scheduled shuttle. Ski and snowboard lessons and equipment rentals are available in the area but are not included in the fee. Flights, lift tickets, shuttle to/from Denver to resort and lodging included.
