Climbing Clinics:

   

While our 35 foot wall may look challenging, we make climbing easy. Interested participants have two options when it comes to scaling our indoor climbing wall.

Option I: All climbers must successfully pass our free Safety and Skills Test to receive unlimited access to the climbing wall for four months. Our optional Introduction to Climbing Clinic is also available and highly encouraged to make sure climbers are prepared to pass the exam.

Option II: Pay $4 for each visit and climb with the assistance of our staff members.

Equipment Rental:

We provide all the necessary equipment for climbing. Climbers may use their own harnesses provided the wall staff approves them. All climbers must use the provided belay devices, carabineers and ropes.

Introduction to Climbing Clinic (303000)

This clinic will provide participants with the skills necessary to climb and belay at the climbing wall. Upon completion, participants must wait at least 24 hours to take the Safety and Skills Test. The test fee is included on the cost of the clinic.

Level I Climbing Clinic (303100)

By introducing basic strategies, this clinic will cover reading routes as well as differences in bouldering and rope-climbing techniques.

Designed to improve climbing technique, this clinic will cover advanced footwork, route finding and the use of rest positions.

Introduction to Rappelling Clinic (304000)

Designed for participants new to rappel, this clinic will introduce techniques, commands and equipment safety.

Lead Introduction Clinic (306000)

This clinic is for experienced climbers who are ready for a real challenge and want to advance their climbing skills beyond top roping and bouldering. Experienced lead climbing instructors will teach safe and efficient lead belaying, clip protection, lead climbing techniques and the art of falling. Participants who complete this clinic will be prepared to take the Lead Test. The test fee is included in the clinic fee.

Family Climbing Clinic (305000)

Designed for families with climbers 12 years of age and under, this clinic will teach guardians to belay as the children learn to climb.

Large Group Introduction to Climbing Clinic (307000)

Designed for groups of 10 or more climbers who want to develop the skills necessary to climb and belay the climbing wall. Ideal for student organizations, schools or youth groups.
