The job responsibilities also include facility management, human resource management, fiscal accountability and responsibility, strategic planning, collaborations with various departments and individuals on and off campus, evaluation and assessment of programs and staff members, and being a mentor/advisor to all the club managers and student employees for Recreational Services.
Worked at KSU Since:
Graduate Assistant from August 1998 – May 2000
Full-time from May 2000 – present
Employment Prior to Kent State:
University of West Florida - Department of Recreational Sports
Likes Most About Kent State:
I love the fact that I get to work with college-aged students on a daily basis, and to see them grow and develop during their college years is special. I also love the fact that I get to work in a state of the art facility which is well maintained and staffed by some of the brightest minds in collegiate recreational sports.
Attraction to Kent State as an Employer:
As a graduate student initially it was opening a new facility and a good sport management program. As a full-time employee, it was the autonomy I had to develop and run programs.
