Regional Campuses Rules and Regulations
Regional Campuses Rules and Regulations
The lifestyles found in a university community such as Kent State University and each of the seven Regional Campuses are very similar to those found in any small-to-medium-sized metropolitan area. One basic function confronting all community leaders is the need to establish or maintain a social equilibrium in which their community may thrive. Kent State University, however, unlike its counterparts in the metropolitan area, has a two-fold purpose. First, as a university, it must provide an education system which is capable of offering students an education of the highest quality. Second, it must furnish an atmosphere which is conducive to study and educational growth and one which enables and assists students to develop in a positive manner. By virtue of your enrollment at Kent State University, you consent to follow the policies and procedures of Kent State University. You will find that the rules and regulations form the parameters of individual behavior as well as the normative standards adhered to by the Kent State University community.
Both student life policies (Chapter 4) and procedures and material specifically related to the Regional Campuses (Chapter 8) are found in the University Policy Register (http://www.kent.edu/policyreg) which contains a complete list of all the University’s policies, rules, and regulations. In addition, the offices listed below have personnel who will assist students in interpreting these policies, rules, and regulations for their particular circumstances or needs:
Office of the Regional Campus Dean
Regional Campus Office of Student Services
Regional Campus Conduct Coordinator’s Office
Throughout the year, changes to some of these policies may be approved. Students are encouraged to be alert to any public announcement made concerning changes to the rules and regulations governing student behavior. While the general policies in the document are applicable to students on all campuses, the specific procedures for implementing these policies on the Regional Campuses may be different from the Kent Campus but will be uniform throughout the Regional Campus system.
