The Associate of Applied Science in Horticulture Technology prepares students for careers in landscape management, turf management, tree care, nursery and greenhouse operations and related horticultural professions. In addition to a core of horticulture and basic science courses, the major provides three areas of concentration: arboriculture, landscape design and management and turfgrass management. The program emphasizes practical experience through hands-on training in outdoor labs and site visits to employers. Students complete two paid summer internships in their areas of concentration.
