Data Management Plan Requirement for Proposals by the National Science Foundation - Brown bag lunch meeting to be held April 29

National Science Foundation instituted a new requirement in the beginning of this year that all research proposals must have a "Data Management Plan". This Brown Bag Lunch Meeting is to discuss what it means or is supposed to mean for principal investigators. What should the plan consist of? How it may be different for different projects or for different NSF Divisions? In light of less than clear direction from NSF in the beginning stages of this requirement, it is important to share our thoughts to have an understanding and develop a tentative outline of a viable plan.

The meeting will take place in Room 141, Cartwright Hall on Friday, April 29, 2011, starting at 11:30 am. Light lunch will be provided.  Please join us and bring colleagues who draw a blank when they hear the words "data management plan".
