Each year, the Writing Commons helps to organize this important regional conference. The Northeast Ohio Writing Centers Association seeks to fulfill writing centers' promise of collaboration and cooperation by providing a forum that acknowledges practices growing out of everyday literacy intervention and engages writing center research and scholarship. This conference is the greatest example of sharing best practices that has derived from the work of the NEOWCA. Some of the active participants of the NEOWCA conference represent the writing centers of Kent State University and its regional campuses, The College of Wooster, Akron University, Walsh University, and Stark State College.
