Abstract:Cell is filled with cholesteric liquid crystal mixture, and cell substrates are coated with some alignment materials in order to make the desired initial alignment of liquid crystals. A small amount of polymer is added to the mixtures in order to improve the performance of the device. Good miscibility of chiral dopant and polymer in the nematic host is important for a long device stability.
