IRB FAQ Review Process
How long does it take to get IRB apporval? What can I do to expedite the process?
Do not wait until the last minute to submit your application. Approval can take 2-6 weeks. The more complete your application is, the quicker you may get approval. Incomplete and improperly completed forms often slow down the process.
How do I find a discipline specific reviewer for my application?

How will I know when my project is approved?
You will receive an email notification from our office. save this email for your records.
What happens after the IRB reviews my project?
The IRB will

How can I find out the status of my project's review?
If you have received a log number for your study via email it means that your application is being reviewed by the IRB office. When communication with the IRB office please refer to this number so that we can quickly identify your study. If you have not received a log number, please check with the discipline specific reviewer that is reviewing your study.

Do I need to keep a copy of my IRB application?
Yes. Always save an electronic copy as well as copies of all communication with the IRB.
