Lindau Graduate Student Awards - Focus on Physiology/Medicine
Now Accepting Nominations for Graduate Student Awards for the Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates and Students in Lindau, Germany with a 2014 focus on Physiology and Medicine
Sponsored Programs is coordinating nominations for the Graduate Student Awards for the Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates and Students in Lindau Germany. Award recipients will receive a travel
grant to attend the 64th Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates and Students, June 29 –July 4, 2014. The 2014 Focus is Physiology/Medicine.
To be eligible, a student must be a U.S. Citizen, have completed by June 2014 two academic years of study toward a doctoral degree in medicine or physiology or in a related discipline, but not be planning a dissertation/thesis defense before December 31, 2014; be currently enrolled at Kent State University as a full-time graduate student; and must be participating in a research project funded by federal or private funds.

There is an institutional limit of two nominations for Kent State University through the Mars, Incorporated Pathway. If you wish to nominate a graduate student for this award please contact the Sponsored Programs Office at x2-2070 or via email to Diana Skok at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, October 11, 2013. If there is interest in nominating more than two students an internal competition will be conducted.

Notify Sponsored Programs of your desire to nominate a student by Friday, October 11, 2013. Information needed is student’s name, student’s email address, confirmation that the student meets eligibility requirements, name and contact information of the nominating PI.

Application Materials are due for Internal Competition (in event that more than two students are nominated)
The following materials for Internal Competition must be submitted by email to email@example.com:
- Two page personal resume of the applicant
- One page letter of reference from the applicant’s advisor and
- One page essay written by the nominee describing why participation in the Lindau Meeting is important for the nominee’s education.
