The Arts & Culture
Faculty members in the College of the Arts at Kent State University are nationally-recognized for their study and professional practice in the visual, performing, and design arts. From drawing to sculpture to textile art, faculty in the fine arts exhibit some of the most intellectually stimulating work.
The Fashion School, one of the top schools of its kind in the United States and the world, leads the way in everything from digital textile technology to sustainable fashion design practices. Fashion is a $250-billion business worldwide and a key industry for growth. Kent State’s fashion design program is ranked in the top 10 by the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America. The university’s fashion design and merchandising programs attract students nationwide and place students and graduates in the world’s fashion capitals, including New York City, Florence, London, Paris and Hong Kong.
The School of Music features everything from the world-class performers, such as the members of the Miami String Quartet, to musicology researchers to composers. And the artists, scholars and educators in the School of Theatre and Dance reflect and communicate cultural values and identities intrinsic to human existence.
We invite you to discover the treasures that await you in the many galleries, recital halls, stages, and on our fashion runways.
