Scholarship Information

As Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is notified of scholarship opportunities related to a specific disability population, students that may be eligible will be contacted by email with the scholarship information. Please review the following for current scholarship and award information. 

Robert and Emily Beasley Scholarship:  The Robert and Emily Beasley Scholarship is awarded to students who are registered with Student Accessibility Services or students who are a part of the GED Scholars Initiative. The scholarship is directed toward tuition and room and board expenses. Richard T. Cunningham Scholarship:  The Richard T. Cunningham Scholarship is specific to students with spinal cord injuries who are currently enrolled in Kent State University. Student Financial Aid:  Kent State University offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for students enrolled at the Kent Campus and the Regional Campuses. Scholarship awards can be based on a variety of criteria including academic merit, talent, demonstrated financial need, field of study, participation in a specific program, organization or activity, and/or any combination of the above. DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology): Provides information on college funding for students with disabilities as well as resources for disability-related scholarships and awards. Please visit DO-IT's website for further information.

The P. Buckley Moss Society:   The P. Buckley Moss Foundation administers three scholarships that were initially established by the Society.  The Judith Cary Memorial Scholarship is for students who are pursuing or entering a bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education. The Anne and Matt Harbison Scholarship is for a graduating high school senior with a certified language related learning difference who is pursuing post secondary education. The P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship  goes to one or more high school seniors with financial need, with certified language-related learning difference and artistic talent, who plan a career in visual arts.
