The admissions process is your chance to put your best foot forward. Each item in the application is important in its own right, but is reviewed holistically to determine the admissions decision. The School looks for the best candidates for admission. If you are a good candidate and can express that through your application materials, the School would like to help you succeed in your chosen profession.

Decisions are made based on various thresholds. For regular admission (unconditional) to graduate study, you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in all coursework. (The M.L.I.S. requires this for your highest completed degree.)

The School does admit students on a conditional basis for a variety of reasons. Conditional admission allows us to admit students who do not meet the GPA threshold, but who otherwise appear to be excellent candidates. We monitor those students as they complete the "conditions of admission" listed in their letter of acceptance, to ensure they are meeting the university requirement of maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA.
