Deadline: Graduate Assistantship Applications

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

The School of Library and Information Science offers a limited number of graduate assistantships to full-time students (enrolled in eight graduate hours or more per semester for fall and spring and six graduate hours for summer) each year on a competitive basis. You must be planning on being enrolled full time over both fall and spring semesters in the academic year of the GA position.  A graduate assistantship provides full-time students with tuition remission and a stipend in exchange for 20 hours of work per week for 15 weeks. The appointments are typically made for the academic year, beginning with the fall semester.

Applications for graduate assistantships must be received on or before March 1. Only students admitted by March 1 to the School of Library and Information Science will be eligible. Current students may apply; however, students must have at least 16 credit hours remaining for completion at the start of their assistantship. Preference may be given to students working on the Kent Campus or at our Columbus location at the State Library of Ohio.
