Workshops offer professionals an opportunity to study select topics in depth, whether to refresh their skills or to learn new ones. Subjects may vary from "Children's Poetry Pizzazz" to "Internet Sources for Company, Industry and Competitive Business Information" to "Database Design and Applications." See the Workshop Catalog for the complete list of workshops and descriptions.
Current M.L.I.S. students may also enroll in workshops to supplement their coursework. Up to four workshop credits may be counted toward the degree.
M.L.I.S. students: Log in to your FlashLine account. Under the "Student Tools and Courses" tab, click on "Add or Drop Classes," and then enter the five-digit CRN number from the workshop schedule (see below).
Remember to fill out the Request for Workshop Credit form AND to consult the Workshop-Course Overlap List before registering for a workshop.
Non-students: Anyone who is not currently registered for courses at Kent State should contact the Office of Continuing and Distance Education at 330-672-3100 to register for SLIS workshops.
