Data Collection. The SRL utilizes a state of the art computer assisted telephone interviewing technology, running Sawtooth Technologies WinCATI software. The SRL also utilizes Sensus for web-based surveys. The SRL also has mail survey, face-to-face survey, and focus group expertise.

Consultation. The SRL provides initial consultation at no charge. Detailed assistance can be obtained at any phase of the survey process.

Research Design. This includes assessing study objectives, measurement, and defining samples.

Questionnaire Development. Every question in a survey, each question’s response categories, and the organization of questions are examined in detail.

Sample Selection. For projects using CATI, samples of telephone numbers are purchased from Survey Sampling, Inc. SSI maintains a database of over 64 million directory-listed household numbers. Clients may also provide their own samples.

Report Development. The SRL can provide a complete report of findings.

Data Archiving. The SRL’s data archiving expertise includes password protected web-based access.

Confidentiality. The SRL stresses the careful and confidential handling of all collected and processed data.

Supervision and Quality Control. All SRL interview stations are networked for supervisory monitoring during interviews.

Data Backup. All SRL survey data are backed up nightly on two different servers.
