Lydia Rose

Assistant Professor

Lydia Rose earned a doctorate in sociology from Purdue University. She is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Kent State University. She teaches at the East Liverpool campus and online. She emphasizes service learning working with her students participating in community service projects as well as participating in Global Youth Service Day. Her scholarly work in the area of social inequality is founded on critical race theory and political economy. Current work is in Service Learning, Community Health and Wellness, Obesogenic Environments, and Disruptive Technologies in Online teaching Environments.
