Since its creation in 1999, the Survey Research Laboratory (SRL) continues to serve the needs of both university and non-university groups for high quality and cost efficient computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI). In addition to a state of the art CATI lab, SRL's capabilities have grown to include the capacity for online data collection, mixed mode data collection surveys, focus groups, ethnographies, as well as other in-depth qualitative social science approaches to data collection.
SRL projects are directed and managed by a full-time Director of the Survey Research Lab and a Project Manager. From time to time, faculty from the Sociology Department and from other departments at Kent State University are called upon to lend their expertise for specific projects.
