Official Transcripts

All financial obligations to Kent State University must be satisfied before a transcript is released.

Copies of your official academic transcript are available through the following delivery methods. Please allow extra processing time at the beginning and ending of each semester.

1. Electronic Exchange to Ohio Public Institutions

  • Send your official transcript electronically to another Ohio public institution free of charge.
  • Official, certified paper transcript, undergraduate-level only.
  • Fast, secure and environmentally-friendly delivery method.
  • View list of eligible institutions.
  • Reflects official grade and degree information at the time the request is processed. Special requests to hold for current term grades or degrees are available. 
  • Current and recently enrolled students log into FlashLine > Student Tools & Courses > Make a Request > Request Official Transcript. On the Official Transcript Menu, click on Electronic Exchange to Ohio Public Institutions.
  • Former students who cannot access FlashLine may print and complete the Transcript Request Form.

2. eTranscript

  • Send your official transcript electronically to employers, agencies and other institutions (Ohio non-public, non-Ohio and graduate admission).
  • Reflects official grade and degree information at the time the request is processed. Special requests to hold for current term grades or degrees are not available. Specific dates for availability of current semester grades and degrees may be found on the Processing Dates for Grades and Transcripts page.
  • A $3.00 convenience fee per transcript will be charged to your credit card.
  • Current and recently enrolled students log into FlashLine > Student Tools & Courses > Make a Request > Request Official Transcript. On the Official Transcript Menu, click on eTranscript.
  • Former students who cannot access FlashLine will need to create an account.

3. US Postal Service (Paper Transcript)

  • Official, certified paper transcript, free of charge. Allow 2–3 business days for processing and additional time for mail service delivery.
  • Current and recently enrolled students log into FlashLine / Student / Resources / Requests and Authorizations / Request Official Transcript. On the Official Transcript Menu, click on Electronic Exchange to Ohio Public Institutions.
  • Former students who cannot access FlashLine may print and complete the Transcript Request Form.
  • Mail to: Kent State University at Stark, Office of Student Services, Transcript Requests, 6000 Frank Avenue NW, North Canton, OH 44720
  • FAX to: 330-499-0301

4. Pick Up In-Person (Paper Transcript)

  • Official, certified paper transcript, free of charge.
  • Stop in the Office of Student Services, 132 Main Hall, until 4:45 p.m. weekdays. Be sure to bring a photo ID with you.

5. FedEx (Paper Transcript) - available at the Kent Campus only

  • Official, certified paper transcript sent express delivery.
  • You must provide a FedEx account number with your transcript request to use this service.
  • Fees vary depending on the destination and method of delivery and will be charged directly to your FedEx account.

Reminder - it is imperative that we have the following information from you:

  • Current name
  • Any former names
  • Current address
  • Kent State ID number (begins with 8) or social security number
  • Dates of attendance
  • Campuses attended
  • Complete address(es) where transcripts are to be mailed
  • Student's written signature
  • A phone number or email address where to contact you if there are questions regarding your request.
