NC-SARA participation

 

NC-SARA Logo - National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity AgreementsKent State University has been approved by The Ohio Department of Higher Education to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).

NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. By participating in NC-SARA, Kent State University has reciprocity to offer online programs to residents in other NC-SARA states.

Status of state authorization for online programs

 

NC-SARA STATES CURRENT STATUS
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
Kent State University has been approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Participation in NC-SARA provides Kent State University with reciprocity to offer online/distance learning programs to residents of the other NC-SARA states/jursidictions. NOTE: not all programs may be available in all states. Please contact the program you are intersted in for more details.
 
PROSPECTIVE NURSING STUDENTS:
Availability of nursing programs/certificates varies state by state. Please consult the Kent State University College of Nursing Master's Program page for additional details.
NON NC-SARA STATES CURRENT STATUS
California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York. Kent State University may be able to offer online programs to residents of these states/districts. For additional information about state authorization in these jurisdictions, please contact onlinelearning@kent.edu.
