Her Campus Kent State is a national online magazine for college women and professional development. We publish editorial and social media content on a weekly basis and hold campus wide events. At Kent State we have an editorial team, social media team and event planning team. Her Campus focuses on empowering college women to feel confident about their academic career by creating a community on campus that helps develop social and professional skills needed to help you feel ready and confident in taking that next step toward your career.
At Her Campus Kent State, you learn valuable skills, build your portfolio and resume, network with your peers and industry professionals and have the support of a national organization. At the same time you also become part of a close knit group of women right here at Kent State. Beyond your individual team responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in team bonding events and our on and off campus events.

The Burr Magazine is Kent State’s first student-produced magazine made for Kent State University, the city of Kent, Ohio, and any other person looking for strong storytelling. The Burr strives to provide its readers with interesting, humorous and hard-hitting stories that tap into current events, trends and the lives of those who have made a home in Kent.

TV2 is Kent State's independent student-led television station. We cover news, entertainment, sports, and politics.
UHURU, which is Kiswahili for freedom, uplifts and informs students while also serving as a platform for student expression in writing, photography art and graphic design, while primarily discussing racial, social and/or political ignorance.
As a derivative of Black United Students, this publication is dedicated to disseminating knowledge of the African-American experience in the past, present and future.
Although we focus on the unification of the African-American population, we also serve as a safe haven and platform for other people of color, as it reflects concerns of all people of color at Kent State University.

The National Association of Black Journalists at Kent State University strives to help student media professionals of color and those who aspire to reach a professional level gain the skills and exposure they need to be successful in the fast-paced media-driven society that we live in today.
Meetings are held every other Thursday at 5pm in Franklin Hall starting the second week of classes.
Members are expected and required to hold their minimum GPA required by their individual major programs. Members will also be required to either have published work, be involved in a form of student media or media organization, or be continually working on their commmunication and journalism skills.

We provide skilled members to do everything required to design and produce your audiovisual concept. Our diversity ranges from feature-length narrative films to corporate videos, commercials and everything in between.
