Developing leaders is at the core of the Kent State University philosophy and is one of the reasons that KSU appears consistently among the nation’s best colleges and universities. Developing your own leadership skills will help you emerge as a leader who is capable and prepared to meet any real-world challenge including employment, graduate programs or business ownership.
Leadership development opportunities abound at Kent State University. Programs are available to you almost everywhere you go, from student organizations to residence hall governing bodies, including the Undergraduate Student Government.
At the Center for Student Involvement, the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) gives rising freshmen and sophomores the opportunity to enhance their personal leadership skills as a component of their educational experience. By becoming a part of this select group of students, these future leaders are exposed to skill building, networking and much more.
