Course Withdrawal Policy
| Deadline to drop/add: | Is always the Friday of the second week of the semester. |
| Deadline to withdraw from a class/semester: | Is always the Friday of the 10th week of the semester. A "W" will be on your transcripts for each class you withdraw from. If you do a complete term withdraw, all your courses will have a "W".

Any student who has missed this deadline and still wants to withdraw must fill out the appropriate paperwork (available in 119 Van Deusen Hall) and be able to prove ALL THREE OF THE FOLLOWING:
The need for withdrawal is a result of circumstances beyond the control of the student and in which s/he had no active role. Examples include serious injury or illness of a student or a member of the student’s immediate family, significant problems of a financial, emotional, or personal nature.
Circumstances requiring a withdrawal occur or reach sufficient severity only after the University withdrawal deadline.
Circumstances, date(s) of occurrence, and student’s passive role in those circumstances are verified in writing by an acceptable third party or appropriate documentation.
