College of Technology -Graduate Program

Welcome Message from Graduate Program!

Welcome to the graduate program!  The dawn of the new century is here.  While it's an exciting time, it's also a time of constant change. Scientific innovation and technology invention are impacting our lives in many ways, from the office to the classroom, to our homes.  In the job market alone, it's estimated that nearly two-thirds of the future workforce will be employed in jobs that previously did not exist.  With rapid changes in many fields and the diverse needs of emerging technologies, keeping up-to-date with the latest advances is essential for a successful career.  The master's program in Kent State University's College of Technology provides the opportunity to gain current technologies and skills in technology-based fields, while pursuing a graduate degree.

The Master of Technology is beneficial for college graduates currently working in technology fields who are looking to further their education.  The degree is also designed for students with a bachelor's degree who want additional education before embarking on a career.  The program provided flexibility to meet the needs of traditional and nontraditional students.  Students will work with members of the college's graduate faculty to design a significant portion of their curriculum.  In addition, many of the graduate courses are offered through distance learning and the Internet, making it easier for students juggling the responsibilities of family and work to pursue a graduate degree.

The College of Technology is committed to providing the residents of northeast Ohio with academic programs in a variety of technology-based areas.  Through Kent State University's eight-campus network, the college offers degree programs at the associate, bachelor's, and master's levels.  For additional information on the master's program, select from the menu at the left.  Also, you may request a complete packet of information by e-mailing your name and address to SOTGrad@kent.edu
