Accounting Club

 Purpose:The focus of this organization is on current topics relating to the accounting profession.  In addition to Accounting Technology majors, this organization is open to all other students who have an interest in accounting.  Activities include meetings, guest speakers, and field trips to other IMA chapter meetings in northeast Ohio.

Animation Imagineers (KTAI)

 Purpose:A good imagination plays a key part in the success of the Kent Tuscarawas Animation Imagineers (KTAI).  The Animation Imagineers is an animation-based club that involves its members in the many aspects of computer and traditional animation.  The club also helps prepare students for jobs in their related field(s).  They host speakers and sketch sessions, and frequently travel for field trips, educational retreats, and on-location training.  Some of the previous places KTAI has traveled include Columbus, Cleveland, Toronto, Orlando and Chicago.  The club participates in several fundraising activities throughout the year to help make these events possible.  Membership to KTAI is free and open to any student or faculty member of Kent State Tuscarawas, though participation in the club’s fund raising activities is required.
 
Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP)

 Purpose:The purpose of this student chapter of AITP is to:
  1. To develop a better understanding of the nature and functions of information technology (IT).
  2. To promote sound general principles in IT and to study technical methods with a view to their improvement.
  3. To study equipment related to IT.
  4. To disseminate generally, by all appropriate means, all fundamentally sound IT principles and methods.
  5. To supply to its members information of the most IT current methods, and assist them in solving their individual IT problems.
  6. To foster among students a better understanding of the vital business role of IT, the proper relationship of IT to management, and the necessity for a professional attitude among the IT professionals in their approach to an understanding and application of the principles underlying the science of IT.
Entrepreneurship and Investment Club (EIC)

 Purpose:EIC is a club founded to promote student involvement and interest in the areas of mutual funds and stocks.  The club is unique in that it has an actual fund of money, which students use to buy and sell real stocks and mutual funds.  The club also hosts speakers and plans field trips to locations of interest. Past trips include flying to Chicago where members received a private tour of the Federal Reserve Building and the Stock Exchange while also taking in sites of the city.  A trip to Toronto was made last spring and club members were able to enjoy the play, Lion King.  A spring 2001 trip was made to Pittsburgh and plans are in the making for the 2002 club trip.

 Purpose:IEEE is a student chapter of an international organization rooted in the study of electronics and its numerous applications.  IEEE sponsors many campus activities each year and takes advantage of field trips to augment their studies.
 
Precision Flight Team

 Purpose:This organization is open to all students with an interest in Aviation.  The competition team is selected from the general membership in a try-out format.  The competition team competes in Regional and National SAFECON flying events.  The team also has aviation related social events and fundraising efforts.

 Purpose:The Society of Manufacturing Engineers, with headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, is the largest engineering professional organization in the world.  It has chapters in over seventy countries and offers student membership to engineering and engineering technology students.  It enables students to gain a competitive advantage on their career by developing relationships with their peers at regional and national conferences, developing professional contacts in industry before graduation, and by offering easy access to credible technical information for reports and presentations.  Activities include meetings, plant tours, and holiday banquets.
Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA)

 Purpose:The focus of this student organization is construction management.  MCAA's student chapter program is growing in popularity because students and faculty know that the association is dedicated to helping students prepare in the mechanical construction industry.  When a student joins a chapter, MCAA, the MCAA local affiliate, and the university or college department commit to providing that student with every opportunity to develop professional skills, knowledge, and experiences.  When student's formal education is complete, the industry will welcome them into its professional ranks.
