Bentley To Be Inducted Into Hall of Fame
The Kent Board of Education has chosen TeleProductions' Jeff Bentley to be enshrined in the Kent Schools Hall of Fame. Inductees are chosen for their contributions to the Kent community and for personal accomplishments in their field. Bentley is currently the executive producer of the Kent State Sports Network.
"It's an honor to even be considered for something so prestigious," Bentley said.
As a senior at Theodore Roosevelt High School, Bentley became the first state champion during the 1980 AAA state wrestling tournament. He then went on to Indiana University, where he qualified for the 1981 NCAA wrestling tournament.
"There are so many wonderful alumni who have made great contributions to the community. To be considered one of them is something I couldn't have imagined," Bentley said.
Bentley will be officially honored at a community ceremony in April. For more information about the Kent Schools Hall of Fame, please visit http://www.kentschools.net/?page_id=365.
