Teleproductions Students Help the MAC Kickoff 2012 on ESPN

Football players and coaches from across the Mid-American Conference stepped up to the podium at Ford Field in Detroit on July 24 to discuss the 2012 season. The event was the conference's annual Media Day, which is highly anticipated by MAC fans and the media. This is the day when coaches preview their upcoming seasons and players are made available to comment on their preparations.

Teleproductions provided the only media coverage for MAC Media Day. It was easily one of the Teleproductions' students' greatest field experiences yet; they interviewed various players and all 13 head coaches of the Conference. The students worked hard all day demonstrating the skills and professionalism they had learned while working for Teleproductions. Not only were they live-streaming the event directly to ESPN3, they were doing so in an indoor stadium with no air conditioning.  The students proved they could take the heat, literally and figuratively. They continued to produce the high-quality video productions that have been associated with Teleproductions for over 50 years.

The ESPN3 crew was thrilled with the students' work. At the end of the day, the students had live-streamed over three hours of footage to ESPN3. The MAC Media Day can be viewed online at ESPN3:

Incredible opportunities such as this leave the Teleproductions crew excited to see what opportunities will come to their students next. There is no question that Teleproductions will continue to give their students the training, experience, and equipment that will more than prepare them for their futures in the field.
