TeleProductions Webstreams Architecture Building Competition to the Community and Overseas
TeleProductions helped the College of Architecture and Environmental Design break some exciting news about its new $40 million building.
After multiple ideas and months designing – students, faculty and community members packed Cartwright Hall on Jan. 17 to watch the four final design firms present their projected plans for the new architecture building.
"As far as I'm concerned, this is more exciting than the finals of American Idol, the Oscars and the Super Bowl combined," President Lester Lefton said.
To capture the excitement, TeleProductions' cameras were there and ready not only to record the event – but to also stream it live on KSUtube. TeleProductions and Michael Bruder, the executive director of Facilities Planning and Design, setup this live webstream for those who couldn't make it to Cartwright.
Bruder described the tremendous following the competition had, and how he wanted those interested to be part of this exciting process. TeleProductions and Bruder worked together to ensure that everyone had the opportunity to watch the presentations – especially architecture students studying abroad in Florence, who were eager to see not only their new building design, but also interested in the design competition process.
Even though the students were happily surrounded by beautiful Italian cityscapes, they were disappointed there was no way for them to watch the designers present. But thanks to TeleProductions, the students didn't have to miss a minute.
