At Kent State Tuscarawas, we strive to make the application process as simple as possible. Our Admissions staff is here to assist you every step of the way! The information here will get you started, but feel free to contact our office if you have questions.

1. VISIT

2. APPLY FOR ADMISSION

Apply online for fast processing, and let us know if you have any questions along the way. As soon as you've submitted your application, we'll contact you by mail to remind you what items we need. We'll also keep you informed of your next steps.

3. SUBMIT APPLICATION MATERIALS

Be sure to get your application materials to us as soon as possible. Depending on your status, this might include things like high school transcripts, ACT scores, prior college transcripts, GED certificate and the $40 application fee. Contact our office if you have questions.

4. APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

You should begin the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) while you're also completing the admission application.

5. COMPLETE PLACEMENT ASSESSMENTS

Once we've received all your application materials and you've been accepted to Kent State Tuscarawas, we'll let you know what to do next. Instructions for placement testing will come in the mail with your acceptance letter.

6. REGISTER FOR CLASSES

If you are a new freshman with no transfer credit, you'll attend a program called SOAR (Student Overview, Advising and Registration) to enroll for your first semester's classes. You can do this only after you've completed all required placement assessments.

7. GET ORIENTED

We offer fun and informative orientation programs for new students. Attend orientation to find your classrooms, get your books, meet other students and meet faculty.
