A new freshman is someone who has not attended any college, university, technical or proprietary school after graduation from high school. Students who have taken college coursework while in high school should also apply as a freshman. Kent State Tuscarawas is an open admission campus. Therefore, students who posses the minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent, may enroll for classes. However, admission criteria does vary by major.

The Application for Undergraduate Reenrollment is for use by students who have previously attended Kent State University as an undergraduate student and would like to return as an undergraduate student, provided they have not attended any other college or university during their absence.
If you wish to be reinstated at Kent State University after being academically dismissed, you need to complete a Reinstatement Application.
A post-undergraduate student has already earned a bachelor’s degree and wants to take additional undergraduate coursework at Kent State.

A guest student is one who wants to take a limited number of courses at Kent State and who has no current interest in pursuing a degree. To be admitted as a guest student at the undergraduate level, you must have earned a high school diploma, a GED certificate or the equivalent. The guest application does not require transcripts or an application fee. Guest students are not eligible for financial aid.
The College Credit Plus (CCP) Program (formerly known as Post-Secondary Enrollment Options) at Kent State University is designed to provide college-ready students, grades 7-12, with the opportunity to earn high school and college credit. Visit the CCP page for details and application deadline.
