Conotton Athlete Signs Letter of Intent

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a Conotton Valley High School graduating senior to their softball team. On April 25, Lindsay Caldwell signed a Letter of Intent to play for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Softball Team.

Caldwell is a four-year letter winner for the Rockets and garnered numerous athletic and academic awards at Conotton Valley.  She recently received the Ray Kroc Scholarship and the Franklin B. Walter Scholarship, is president of the National Honor Society, senior class president and class salutatorian for 2017.  She was voted to the Second Team Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC) her freshman year and First Team OVAC during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.  Caldwell was selected as her team’s most valuable player during her freshman and sophomore years, and was also an East District First Team nominee her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

“Our team is so proud to have Lindsay as one of our top recruits,” said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. “Lindsay is the complete package when you talk about the significance of being a student athlete. She has excelled in the classroom and on the field and she only knows one gear---and that’s full speed ahead.  We look forward to seeing her infectious attitude translate into wins for our softball team and ultimately her success as a graduate and ambassador for The University.”

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
