Online Directory Updates - Individual Listings

Update individual listings in the online directory at one of two locations, each of which controls different information:

  • Online Phone Directory, where you cannot update your business phone and fax, but can add a nickname, additional department and other information (see below).
  • Banner, where you can update your business phone and fax, but not post a nickname or additional department. To access Banner, login to FlashLine from www.kent.edu, go to My HR tab, then the Employment Details channel.

Online Phone Directory Entry Access Point and Information It Controls:

  • To make modifications (in this example, phone number update) from this entry point, follow these steps:

    1. Login to FlashLine from www.kent.edu.
    2. Go to MY HR tab.
    3. Go to Employment Details channel; click Personal Information.
    4. Choose Update Addresses and Phones link.
    5. In Business / current section, click the Primary number text - it's a link.
    6. Make update on that screen.

    ** This is the "official" university record for each individual. Restricted information in  Banner (listed in the "Does Not Modify" column above) can be modified by requesting the changes from human resources.
