Administration Team
University Communications and Marketing provides professional consultation and resources designed to assist the communications and marketing efforts of programs and departments throughout Kent State University's eight-campus network. This includes leadership and support by these UCM employees:
Rebecca Murphy, Associate Vice President for University Communications and Marketing
Rebecca Murphy joined Kent State in 2013 and previously served as the assistant dean of marketing and communications, enrollment and student services at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. She also previously served as associate director of marketing for the Cleveland Museum of Art, director of marketing and communications at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora, Ohio, and promotions manager at Geauga Lake Amusement Park.
Mary Mandalari, Senior Secretary, University Communications and Marketing
Mary Mandalari has worked at Kent State since 1977. Prior to joining UCM in 2009, she worked in Regional Development Outreach Marketing and the College of Continuing Studies.
Sharon Mercer, Receptionist, University Communications and Marketing
Sharon Mercer has worked as the receptionist in UCM since 2000. She had previously been a temporary employee for the university and served in various departments. She has attended workshops in Access and Excel.
Terra Ndubuizu, Senior Business Manager, University Communications and Marketing
Terra Ndubuizu has a M.B.A from Tiffin University, and a B.S. (business management) from Indiana Wesleyan University. Prior to joining UCM in November 2009, she worked at Cuyahoga Community College and Case Western Reserve University.
Anne Palmieri, Web, Internal and Electronic Communications Specialist, University Communications and Marketing
Anne Palmieri worked as a temporary UCM employee for a year before joining us in October 2010. Anne is a graduate of Hammel Business College and was previously employed by Momper and Associates, Inc. and Sheraton Hotels. She also owns Anne’s Grapevine Invitations, a small home business she started so she could work from home while raising her children.
Diana Ryman, Senior Secretary, University Communications and Marketing
Diana Ryman has been with UCM since 1999, after working in the private sector for 27 years. She is enrolled as a part-time, adult student at Kent State in an exploratory program. She has also attended advanced workshops in Excel, Access and Word.
