Our Services
Custodial Services performs daily cleaning of the academic, athletic, and auxiliary buildings on campus over multiple shifts.
Normal responsibilities include trash and recycling removal, carpet and hard surface floor care, chalkboard and whiteboard cleaning, restroom cleaning and sanitation, maintaining product stock in restroom dispensers, general dusting, cleaning and sanitizing water fountains, door glass and restroom mirror cleaning, and classroom furniture resetting.
Additionally, Custodial Services supports special events in many of the capacities listed above. To request Custodial Services for your event, schedule through Kent State University Events & Conference Services at www.kent.edu/universityevents. Event coverage by Custodial Services is a chargeable amenity, regardless of whether the event was scheduled and prearranged or not. Last minute event coverage requests as well as unplanned event coverage will be honored but will also result in charges to the department hosting the event.
Custodial Services also oversees the pest control contract for the entire campus to ensure the continued implementation of an integrated pest management plan.
Emergency Service
Please note that all Emergency Services may also be entered into our ReADY Work Request system, but should also be called into our 24 hour Service Center at 330-672-2345 for expedited service response.
